Double-direction thrust ball bearings consist of two inner rings, an outer ring and a ball assembly; they are capable of withstanding axial loads in both directions but cannot withstand radial loads. They operate at relatively low speeds, and coaxiality must be ensured during assembly. They are commonly used in machine tool spindles, low-speed rotating shafts, valves and other applications where bidirectional axial movement needs to be restricted.
